Safety Model

ABYSS is built around the assumption that autonomy will face uncertainty, degraded sensors, unstable communication and ambiguous environments. The architecture is designed to reduce authority under uncertainty, not expand it.

If the platform cannot trust its sensor picture, available autonomy must narrow.

Communication State

Loss of communication changes the authority model and may trigger restricted behavior or mission abort logic.
